Call recording in Lync

I want to create a custom desktop applicaiton which can enable audio call to Lync user.
 The application should be able to record the conversation for future auditing. I found the following
link for call recording in UCMA http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/lync/hh347328.aspx.
Since I am developing a client application I dont feel UCMA soution will help my purpose.

More over UCMA Recorder place an audio call to the called party but does not pick audio from source to destination.

Is there any call recoring functinality available in either in Lync client SDK or UCWA.
